Kidd Aitken is proud to announce that the SME News Legal Awards has recognised them as the 'Best Legal Directories Consultants 2021'. The awards aim to acknowledge "the market leaders for their commitment, excellence, and determination" within the industry. We are delighted to be recognised for those values. Kidd Aitken was commended for the evidence of expertise within legal directories, our dedication to client service, satisfaction and retention, and for our on-going commitment to providing excellent work. It is our second award in as many months, having won the 'Legal Marketing Consultancy of the Year' by CorporateLiveWire in late January.Daniel Kidd, co-founder and director of Kidd Aitken, says, "We are delighted to have been awarded the 'Best Legal Directories Consultants' by SME News. It's a testament to the hard work of the Kidd Aitken team for continually supporting clients, not only with outstanding legal directory submissions and rankings, but also the variety of resources we make available from our website, for everyone."
The judges were particularly impressed by Kidd Aitken's on-going commitment to providing excellent results for our clients, citing our successful work with leading Australian law firm, Clayton Utz. Expanding on the relationship, Daniel explains, “We began working with Clayton Utz in 2017. We consulted on their submissions process and offered assistance to help them achieve the rankings that we all knew they deserved. Particularly in the, at that time, newly established Chambers & Partners Life Sciences practice, in which they were fast becoming the market-leading practitioner. “After implementing several initiatives, including condensing their submissions, reducing the number of nominated Partners and optimising client and peer referee lists, together we achieved some incredible results for them in the first year. They achieved six new Band 1 firm rankings and 18 improved rankings, 54 Partners achieved new or improved rankings and, yes, they reached Band 1 for the Life Sciences practice." Clayton Utz also won the Firm of the Year award at the 2018 Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards, which was a very special moment. Kidd Aitken built a solid relationship with them and continue to work with them, five years on. Now the focus has shifted to their mid- and long-term strategies and future-proofing their rankings. "We're pleased that SME News has recognised our work with Clayton Utz. Our tried and tested techniques prove themselves time and again, as we onboard new clients. We're delighted to see the results when legal directories are published." says Jacob Aitken, co-founder and director of Kidd Aitken.
Kidd Aitken was also recognised for sharing insights into legal directory submissions best practice with firms and Partners. Our latest on-demand webinar, Best Practice for Managing Submissions and Improving Rankings, serves as a headline guide of optimisation techniques that firms can put into practice with their own submissions strategies. Our next webinar, at the end of March: Are legal directories worth it? will examine the place of legal directories within the legal industry and ask if they accurately reflect the talent and standing of law firms and their Partners. Register now to join us on the 25th March." Meanwhile, the response garnered from our blog on gender diversity within legal directories has fuelled us to explore the issue even further. We're currently putting together a white paper on this topic, which we will share soon," Jacob added.
